There is absolutely no smoke, smoke or odor as a result of burning. It is shipped with the glass casing on the throat. Since your oil lamp dimensions may vary, the wick length has been adjusted by calculating the excess. You can cut off the excess and use it according to your lamp. Packaging and content: The package is shipped with 3 lamp wicks and 3 glass storage nozzles. Since it is shipped in its special box, it does not break or deform during transportation. How to Use: Remove the lamp wicks placed in their glass cases from the cardboard box. Adjust the size that will be sufficient for you by placing it inside your empty lamps. You can optionally cut off the excess or use it without cutting it. After filling your lamp with oil, place the wick back inside. Wait for the wick to absorb the oil for 10-15 minutes. When the lamp oil reaches the outer end of the wick, it is ready for use. To make your lamp oil more permanent when you are not using your lamp, pull your lamp wick from the inside of the glass housing mouthpiece outward and bring it to a level where it will not be in contact with the oil. It is strongly recommended that you use only Louis Marie branded lamp wicks for Louis Marie branded glass lamp products.
