The concept of civilization - which expresses the combination of human endeavors from past to present with urban life and urban culture - is often used synonymously with civilization. In general, the concentration of national culture on a particular business or technology symbolizes the level of civilization reached in that field. On the other hand - Logistics and Supply Chain Management - is becoming a phenomenon that affects the competitiveness of organizations, almost like a new business function, day by day - the existence and efficiency of logistics systems also direct the international trade of countries. The Logistics Performance Index (LPI), which has been published by the World Bank since 2007 and evaluates the logistics performance of countries, continues to function as an accepted modern ranking and classification tool in this sense. When the LPI rankings are examined, it is understood that a significant portion of the countries coded as the cradle of civilization either do not rank in the top ranks at all or fail to demonstrate a sustainable performance. It is seen that some heavyweight countries at the global level - using the logistics skills they have combined with their national cultures and technologies - as a core talent, nourish their civilizations with their logistics expertise. It is understood that European and Asian small-scale countries have started to join them in recent years.
