Nick, one of the brightest kids in the fifth grade, is a master at confusing the lesson with unusual questions. However, the tough grammar teacher does not play along with him and asks him to prepare a report on the origin of the words. Impressed by what he learned, Nick comes up with a bright idea to test them: He starts saying "findel" instead of pencil. The word, which has no meaning, spreads rapidly first in school - then in the town - and becomes the subject of television. Nick's innocent game will lead to consequences he never expected...
