The tree felling wedge is made of hard polystyrene. It is designed to lower the tree by pushing it in the direction of the cut. It is used as a measure against the saw pinching or tilting back towards the saw and it cuts the opposite side of the tree. This makes it safer and more convenient to lower the tree.
