Scent: You can use 8% - 10% scent levels to add scent to your candles - but we strongly recommend that you use scents specially developed for natural waxes. The size and depth of the scent - greatly affects the effect of the scent - so choosing the right wick is very important. Some scents can react badly with wax and cause bleeding - undesirable surface texture or poor flame quality. Wick Selection Natural waxes generally require larger wick sizes than traditional paraffin waxes. Fragrance - color and candle configuration - have a big impact on choosing the best wick. If your wick is too large, it can cause drying out, rapid burn times, and leakage (leaking from the side of the candle). If your wick is too small - it can produce pitting and a smaller flame. Be careful to cut it to the size of your mold. If you experience poor flame quality or stability - try a different type of wick. Test burning should be done after waiting 48 hours after pouring the candle.
