The more corners you have, the higher your chances of winning. However, this does not mean that the one who gets the four corners necessarily wins the game. In order to place a stone in the corner, it is necessary to make preparatory moves carefully, starting from the first move.
Although preparation moves are made with different techniques for each player, they generally start placing stones without overflowing the middle 16 squares.
After placing stones in these squares, the most important thing to do in order not to give the corners to the opponent is to not place stones on the neighboring squares of the corner squares as much as possible.
The game is continued by placing tiles on the squares outside the neighboring squares of the corner squares.
