PACK OF 10 RED-WHITE HAND MADE MARTENITSA. Martenitsa is an ornament made of white and red wool. On the occasion of the arrival of spring, traditional Baba Marta (Grandma Marta) days begin. Baba Marta, which dates back to ancient times, is a tradition specific to Bulgaria. Bulgarians gift symbols called "martenitsa" to their relatives and friends, wishing them health and strength throughout the year. According to custom, martenitsas are carried until they see a swallow or a stork.
