Pour the hot water over the coffee beans or tea leaves, push the strainer down and serve the coffee/tea directly from the pot. Parts can be separated for easy cleaning. Wash the product before first use. If you are having trouble pushing the strainer down, remove it from the brewer. Then try to push it down slowly and vertically.
