The adventure of Feride, a young and rambunctious girl who graduated from the French High School, begins after she experienced a deep disappointment and left her fiancee and family in Istanbul and became a teacher in a small village in Anatolia. Later, this village is followed by other towns and cities. At first, everywhere he went, the effects of the War of Independence were seen - traces of difficult conditions and misery were encountered. Later, the difficulties in social life of a young, lonely and independent girl from a different culture, the working value judgments and the vested interests that confront her, are intertwined with the storms and deep loneliness in Feride's inner world, and appear before the reader. Wren - is a masterpiece from the early periods of realistic orientation. Reşat Nuri Güntekin was born in Istanbul in 1889. He graduated from the Faculty of Letters. He worked as a teacher, principal, National Education Inspector and Paris Cultural Attaché in high schools. He represented Turkey at UNESCO. In addition to his novels, stories and plays, he also has various translations.
