These cards were prepared to teach children the production of 29 sounds produced in Turkish, which form the building blocks of speech, by using visual clues. While on one side of the card there is a picture representing the sound (e.g. a child feeling cold for the /d/ sound), on the other side there is a picture showing the position of the tongue, lips and jaw when the sound is produced. Tips to facilitate voice production are stated in the application booklet. In addition to the 29 cards, there is another card for a better understanding of the sounds t, d, n, l, r, s, z, ş, j, ç, c, k and g, which are produced by the movement of different parts of the tongue. Additionally, the audio application that exemplifies how sounds should be said can be accessed by scanning the QR code in the application booklet. Sound and visual cues can be used together by pressing the touch buttons, where there is a separate recording for each sound. My Speech Sounds "My Speech Sounds" was prepared to teach how the 29 sounds produced in Turkish are produced. Pictorial images were used to represent each sound. How the tongue, lips and jaw should be moved while making sounds was also shown on the back of the cards. Detailed information about sound production is included in the application booklet. How to use? The picture of the sound is shown and the card is identified. “Look, there's a girl here, I think she's disgusted with something and she's making a sound like /ö/. Say /ö/ too. Now let's see how /ö/ is said.” The card is turned over and the child is asked to imitate the mouth movement by looking at the card with the mouth picture. For the correct production of the sound, physical assistance is provided if necessary, using the information in the instruction manual. If you want to produce syllables, the cards are brought side by side. For example, to produce the sound /ba/, a picture of a fish and a crocodile opening its mouth or mouth pictures of these sounds are placed side by side to produce syllables.
